The U12 Girls started the weekend games playing in a most competitive manner. Although they lost 3-1 they were missing numerous key players owing to injuries and holiday events. The Cobra girls played well throughout the game with Emma T. scoring the Lone Star for the Cobras. A constant array of communication breakdowns often cost the girls the ability to retain possession which did hurt our game. Also, the players wasted many, many shooting opportunities by holding on to the ball way too long. The game could quite easily have been a tied game.
The U13 Girls put in yet another convincing performance with big scoring win against OP. This is the second consecutive week the girls have scored in double figures as they totally dominated the game. The goals came from Rosie, Laura, and Anna all with Lone Stars and Cassie and Elizabeth S both with three goals—a Hat-Trick each.
U14 Girls no game
The U15 Girls also hit the double-figure mark by totally dominating Select. With only two subs available the girls had to truly work hard to secure such a convincing win. During the game each girl played in every position as we rotated the rest periods around the squad. It was a wonderfully controlled performance by the keeper, the defenders, midfielders, and attackers. The goals came from Lexi and Marley with a Lone Star each, Becca with a Brace, and Alyssa and Emily both with four goals each—A Hat-Trick and a Lone Star; the final score was 12-1 to the Cobras. This was a most clinical display from basically a new age group team.
